Since the summer vacations of 2024 and 2025, founder Lu Ni and her team members have conducted fieldwork twice in Pingxiang County, Jiangxi Province, focusing on "farmers with pneumoconiosis and the long-overlooked caregiver groups within pneumoconiosis families." They visited Xingjian Public Welfare Organization, Xiangling Water Village’s Yuanye Jinxiang Homestay, and Rural Companion Eco-farm; went to Pingxiang Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Pingxiang Third Hospital, Lianhua Liangfang Town Village Clinic, and Gaokeng Town Central Health Center; and visited Liangfang Rehabilitation Center and Chishan Rehabilitation Center. They also engaged in in-depth face-to-face exchanges with pneumoconiosis-affected farming families in Shangli County, Luxi County, Xiyuan Village in Xiabu Town of Xiangdong District, and Nanling Township in Lianhua County, capturing a wealth of investigative photographs and video materials, and compiling a relatively complete set of oral records.

Through methods such as field interviews, observational records, and textual-visual archives, these materials continuously organize and present the lived experiences of the relevant communities, reflecting close attention to the real-life realities of pneumoconiosis families. The work emphasizes addressing social issues through documentation, understanding, and connection rather than mere advocacy, thereby constituting an ongoing research practice that explores themes of "moral agency, social visibility, and structural conditions" within the context of occupational disease-related issues.
